Program

The SMART Members Assistance Program (MAP) provides contractors with assistance to help workers with mental health and substance abuse problems.  The program helps members and their families having difficulty with depression, substance use disorders, and other mental health-related problems.  

Through the SMART MAP training program, SMOHIT is building a network of trained union members and mental health professionals to offer support and guidance to union members and their families struggling with mental health and chemical dependency issues. The program focuses on early intervention, identifying resources, and assists with coordinating continuing care plans.
